Marc is the World Vision Zambia National Director. He brings over 19 years of international experience in the development and humanitarian sector.
Marc's leadership experience is extensive, having served in roles such as Country Director for Save the Children in Zambia and Deputy Country Director for Save the Children US in Ethiopia. His ability to secure and manage diverse donor funding portfolios, including grants and contracts from USAID, ECHO, EU, SIDA, and UKAID, instils confidence in his capabilities. Marc has also overseen sponsorship programs in Ethiopia, Sri Lanka, and Zambia.
Marc has served as the Chief of Party (CoP) for the USAID-funded SHOUHARDO III program with CARE Bangladesh, following his prior role as CoP for the SHOUHARDO II program in Bangladesh. Before joining CARE Bangladesh, Marc served as the Country Director for CARE Mozambique. During this time, he led strategic initiatives focused on poverty alleviation, food and nutrition security, and empowering women and girls. Additionally, Marc played a key role in major inter-agency relief efforts as co-chair of the humanitarian country team in Mozambique.
Marc holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the School for International Training (Vermont, USA) and a Master's degree in International Public Health from the University of Sydney (Australia). His peace and conflict studies background sparked an interest in interfaith programs for children, driving his work in various humanitarian settings, including Iraq, Bosnia, and Sri Lanka.
Marc is married with two children.
